Abstract: This case study explores the inspiring career of Haji Fauzi bin Zakaria, a dedicated educator who has devoted his life to advancing inclusive education. Born in 1974, Haji Fauzi began his teaching career in 2003 and has since accumulated over two decades of experience in leading schools that embrace inclusive practices. His journey includes roles as a teacher, Assistant School Principal (since 2000), and School Principal at three different institutions, showcasing his expertise in navigating the complexities of inclusive education. The case highlights Haji Fauzi's innovative strategies for fostering inclusive environments, addressing challenges, and building strong partnerships among school leaders, teachers, students, and parents. Drawing on Urie Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory, the study illustrates how his leadership decisions were shaped by and influenced the dynamic interplay between various systems, including the school community, families, and the broader society. By documenting Haji Fauzi's best practices in integrating special needs students into mainstream education, this case provides valuable insights into the role of principals in creating collaborative, inclusive learning environments. It serves as a model for effective educational leadership, offering a framework for fostering stakeholder collaboration and driving meaningful change in the field of inclusive education. Positioned within the niche areas of sociology of education and educational leadership, this teaching case underscores the transformative potential of principled and inclusive school leadership.
