Abstract: Albukhary International University (AIU) exercises Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through its philanthropic initiatives, showcasing a commitment beyond traditional educational responsibilities. By operating as a Waqf (charitable entity), AIU actively engages in philanthropy as an integral part of its mission. This approach reflects a broader dedication to societal well-being and goes beyond the typical CSR activities of a conventional institution. Through AIU's innovative philanthropic-based model, students can gain perspectives on navigating cultural, economic, and social intricacies, as well as the strategic considerations involved in sustaining a philanthropic educational institution. This case study offers a dynamic platform for discussions on business practices, ethical considerations in corporate social responsibility, and the potential for organisations to drive positive societal change on a global scale.
