Abstract: This case study is about the former CEO of KXP Airport City Holdings Sdn. Bhd. was looking for an appropriate modelling technique for demand prediction of a new airport capacity planning. Predicting the demand is a crucial element in the master planning process essential for analysing existing cargo flight schedules and identifying future facility requirements of air cargo companies. By incorporating the significant factors, a better prediction of airline demand, specifically in the Northern Region of Peninsular Malaysia, can be produced. This case study falls under the type of problem case designed to demonstrate the process of developing a system dynamics model based on the problem at hand. The case also encourages students to identify suitable interventions to improve the current scenario. In brief, this case aims to discuss the principles of system dynamics (SD) modelling for the real world problem
