Abstract: On 30 July 2019, Ku Saadiah, the General Manager of HII-PPK, received a letter and documents from the Registrar, Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA). The letter stated that the Farmers’ Organisation Authority (LPP) would conduct an imminent management audit on HII-PPK in early 2020. The management audit was conducted every five years to examine and verify the financial performance and governance practices of the PPK. HII-PPK was required to prepare its financial statements, minutes of meetings and other relevant documents, and to identify key individuals to be interviewed by the auditors. Having perused the letter and documents, Ku Saadiah reflected on the financial performance of HIIPPK and its governance practices since the previous management audit in 2014. Ku Saadiah was required to assess whether HII-PPK would be able to maintain its status as a ‘Grade A’ PPK in the upcoming management audit.
