Abstract: | Sugar & Spice AOR produced and sold freshly baked cakes and pastries. The food and beverage industry has been booming, and competition has been fierce since many sellers and identical products are in the market. Haryati Hasni Tajudin (Yati) was perturbed by the global economic disruption caused by COVID19, which had crippled the purchasing power of customers and consequently impacted business revenue worldwide. The business profit had dropped due to low sales because some business customers closed up their shops. Also, employees' wages significantly increased as it became difficult to get workers. Except Yati makes a strategic move in earnest, Sugar & Spice AOR's competitiveness and market shares might deteriorate. Before COVID19, Haryati Hasni Tajudin was thinking of expanding her business to neighbouring districts. However, there are uncertainties about the feasibility of repositioning the company by the recent developments. Mr Sabr Mutalib, a business consultant, advised Yati to perform a strategic analysis of the business's current position before deciding on the business expansion plan |
