dc.description.abstractDigital Durian Animation Studio (DD) is a production house that creates and launches Didi & Friends and Omar & Hana animated TV series. Didi & Friends is designed for 4-year old children, while Omar & Hana is designed for 6-year old children. Starting 2016, Didi & Friends (Figure 1) spiked up to become the most famous animated cartoon for preschool children. Various obstacles survived by DD Animation Studio to reach their successful level now. DD raised slowly from the bottom in 2008 with only two employees and they fought for making their animated cartoon more appealing among their target audience. Finally their animation cartoon; Didi & Friends was viewed in Youtube with 1 million views in 2014. With this achievement, DD was approached by Astro TV and their animation cartoon; Didi & Friends was displayed on Astro TV at the end of 2014. In March 2018, Didi & Friends was showcased in cinemas. Currently, besides being aired on TV, and have been showcased in cinema, Didi & Friends is still popular on Youtube. The case focuses on advancing animated series (particularly Didi & Friends) from Youtube platform into TV channel. Particularly, it begins with the obstacles that DD faced until their animated cartoon is viewed by millions viewers on Youtube. Further, it discusses the process DD Animation Studio has gone through in ensuring their Didi & Friends is well accepted by the audience. The process is discussed in a bit detail, so that students can adapt into their projects. It is not about making the products, but beyond that, audience’s interest and acceptance is the key. It defeats the purpose of making if the finished product is not well-appreciated by the audience. Therefore, students are expected to understand and expose to DD’s product making process, which they can follow in making their products successfullyen_US
