The main issues faced by Damak Resort (DR) are the clash of three generation behaviors namely Baby Boomers vs Gen X vs Gen Y. DR which is a resort is categorized under a small business and it is run by family members and thus it is a family business. At the early period of its operation, the business was doing well. The successfulness of the business was due to the joints effort between Francis from Baby Boomer generation and Alice, Gen X. Unfortunately, conflict happened between these individuals which eventually caused Alice to leave the company. Bob, who was Francis’ son took over Alice’s place. However, problems repeatedly occurred as he was unable to align himself with Francis. Apart from the conflict with his father, he was also a ‘job-hoper’ and thus left DR. Alice was again being invited to join the DR. She was able to remedy the predicament and the business managed to gain its momentum. However, this was not long, as Francis wanted to take a full control of the resort. This caused Alice to leave DR and started to operate her own resort.en_US
